water pump propeller

hi i was wondering what the effect of one water pump propeller blade being broken off would have on mthe cooling, would it be ok to ride with it like that for 4 or 5 days untill a new one arrives. thank you

Well monitor your temperature, as long as it's within the normal range, probably not a big issue other than the stress on the axle with the propeller being out of balance. Not sure if that could cause damage ...

Get a new O ring and insert into the propeller with Si grease.

i would order impeller o ring wp gasket and the funny seal in there too. you can look at the parts breakdown to see what you will need. good luck on both the ride and repair.

I'd be more concerned about running that impellor now out of balance than temperature. The end of that shaft tapers down to fairly small diameter and if I remember right its press fitted into the main shaft. Having replaced that shaft on my 2017, which runs thru the cases and part of the balancer on both sides of engine, and having no desire to do that again, I sure wouldn't run it that way. Order a new one from RMATVMC. They're quick and discount OEM parts. Don't forget the new O ring that's fitted in impellor and pump gasket. Crush washer too for pump drain bolt.
